The length of cut wire needed may be less. Wire: I have tested different gauges of wire and 26 gauge copper-core wire twists the best. It is harder to twist using 24 gauge wire and the look is much bulkier. For the best experience, stick with the 26 gauge copper-core wire. Stem wires: I used 16 gauge galvanized steel wire for the main stem and 18 gauge stem wire for the secondary stems. For the stability while keeping the thinnest possible stem, stick with the recommended stem gauges. Related
